The Id Tech MiniMag Duo is a compact, intelligent, programmable reader designed for applications where a small and reliable reader is needed Id Tech's MiniMag Duo fits in tight places. The MiniMag Intelligent Swipe Card Reader is designed for POS and desktop applications where space is at a premium. The entire unit is just 90mm long (about the length of a credit card), giving it the smallest footprint of any unit with comparable features.
The Id Tech MiniMag Duo is an intelligent, programmable MagStripe reader. MiniMag provides a wide range of functionality and value in a convenient package size. The entire unit is just 90mm long, about the length of a credit card. It reads up to three tracks of information with a single swipe in either direction. It has a beeper and three-color LED indicator to signal a successful read. The reader is programmable so that the data format and intelligent interface output can be programmed & configured to match application and communication requirements. Programming is easy using Id Tech's Magswipe PC software.
Edits and formats data
The MiniMag is a fully intelligent swipe reader that can be programmed to divide, rearrange, edit, and validate fields of magnetic card data. It automatically distinguishes between AAMVA and CA DMV formats.
Reads magnetic stripes. The MiniMag reads up to three tracks of information with a single swipe in either direction. Its standard-length slot makes it easy to use. Both beeper* and LED indicators signal a successful read.
Versatile, low cost.
The MiniMag Intelligent Swipe Reader delivers exceptional functionality and value in the smallest possible package. It can be used as a free-standing unit, or permanently mounted using the threaded inserts in the bottom of the reader. (The cable can exit through the bottom as well.) TTL, RS-232, keyboard wedge, and USB/Keyboard interfaces are available.
