UIC Payworld ScanTeam 8310-5X Check Readers
The UIC Payworld SCANTEAM® 8310 is a reduced feature set member of the SCANTEAM 8300 family of check reader products. All ST8300 products contain FLASH memory, which allows for easy firmware upgrades in the field without the need to disassemble the product, and a magnetic read head for MICR data capture.
The SCANTEAMR 8310 contains communications support for traditional PC COM ports for PC-POS applications, many PC and video terminal keyboards in a keyboard wedge mode, as well as support for communications with many credit authorization terminals, including Hypercom TM , Data Card TM , Verifone Tranz TM , and ZON TM series products.
The SCANTEAMR 8310 was developed to specifically help retail and financial systems integrators become more flexible in their data capture capability. The ST8310 can adapt to a variety of applications, giving the integrator the ability to better control fraud, as well as further enhance customer service.
SCANTEAMR 8310 is a series of value-priced and industry standard check readers. Ideal for financial and retail applications, the check reader easily converts high volumes of paper checks into electronic information. UIC Payworld Industry Design Standard
Minimal space is needed on the counter for the 8300/ST8310. It can be placed next to a PC or electronic cash register for ready access. In many environments, the ST8300/ST8310 can also be powered by the host device via USB, eliminating the need for an additional bulky power supply.
Flash memory allows for easy firmware upgrades in the field without the need to disassemble the check reader. A magnetic read head allows for accurate MICR data capture. Available in the colors of beige or black, the check reader complements existing hardware.
With the ST8300/ST8310, users can easily scan paper checks and achieve a successful first pass good read rate. In an environment where large volumes of checks are present, the ST8300/ST8310 can provide a quick return on investment.
