Datalogic is pleased to announce the availability of the new PowerScan 9600 RFID Series, the first rugged hybrid handheld scanner in the market. The industrial handheld scanner with standard 1D/2D barcodes, OCR, and UHF RFID tags reading capabilities can address Retail, T&L, and Manufacturing applications, providing the following benefits. Increased productivity thanks to a super-reliable device with extreme ruggedness, allowing to read both UHF RFID tags and standard 1D/2D codes. The new PowerScan 9600 RFID is a cordless device with Bluetooth connectivity, equipped with a Standard Range or Document Capture scan engine for barcode, OCR reading and color image capture, and a reader chip based on Impinj E310 for UHF Tags reading. It will be available in two models:

Cordless model (Standard Range scan engine)

Cordless model with 16-key keypad and OLED display (Document Capture scan engine) The PowerScan 9600 RFID series embeds Datalogic’s Wireless Charging System, based on inductive charging technology. The plug-and-play architecture for the device interface of the PowerScan 9600 family makes it easily configurable between Serial, USB, Ethernet, EtherNet/IP or PROFINET, while protecting the customer’s investment in the event of future changes to the communication setup.

The PowerScan 9600 RFID series embeds Datalogic’s Wireless Charging System, based on inductive charging technology.
