Introducing the Axicon PV-1000: The latest portable verification solution from Axicon.
The PV-1000 unit can be used with any of the following linear barcode verifiers – the 6015, 6515 and 7015 - and it allows you to carry out verification without any connection to a laptop or PC. You can see the overall grade for each symbol, as well as the values for individual parameters while you are using it. The PV-1000 will also keep all your results as text or Axicon’s .scn files which you can transfer to your PC using a USB memory stick. This means the results can be recorded as part of any quality control system.
Looking to add portability to your QA process? Simply unplug your verifier from your computer, connect it to the PV-1000 and you’ll soon be experiencing the same high levels of repeatability you expect from Axicon wherever you are. All barcodes are verified to the latest ISO/ANSI and GS1 standards.
Light weight, rugged and easy to use the PV-1000 gives you a clear and instant go / no-go report on the quality of your barcode. Results can be printed directly to an optional printer or saved and transferred to your PC/Mac. Files are saved in the unique Axicon .scn format and can be opened with the your Axicon software giving you access to a wide range of diagnostic & reporting tools including the Axicon Scan File Data Extractor.
The most versatile option is available by using an existing Axicon 6000, 6500 or 7000 series verifier (with a USB connector) and simply purchasing a PV-1000 Portable Display and Collection unit. Please download the data sheet for full specification. In this way the user has the full capability of a PC/Mac based verifier - but with the option to just unplug the verifier from the computer and plug it into the PV-1000 for full portability and flexibility.
The PV-1000 can save both a text file of the verification results and also the scan file (which can be uploaded if required into the Axicon PC software).
Printed verification reports can be obtained either by using a standard serial (RS232) printer or by transferring the saved data to a PC through the use of a USB memory stick and then printing from the PC.
An Optional protective rubber boot is also available if a higher level of protection is required (please note that the PV-1000 cannot be used in conjunction with an Axicon verifier from the "S" or "HS" range).

Axicon can also supply a portable printer if you need to be able to print these reports immediately off-site. (If you already have a printer with a standard serial (RS232) printer, then this would work perfectly too.) Both the PV-1000 and the printer are battery powered and they will work for approximately 8 hours before needing to be recharged, or have the four AA batteries changed.
Axicon also has a protective rubber cover for the PV-1000 which will give it greater protection, if you need this.
Please note that the PV-1000 is not compatible with any of the S-range or two-dimensional barcode verifiers.
