The Kit comes with CAB-434 which supports PWR on Pin 9 or a P/S, so if your hosts supplies PWR on Pin 9 then you do not need a P/S. If your Host does not supply PWR on Pin 9 then you need a P/S P# 90ACC1920. Also, you will need a p/s if your pc does not draw enough power to the scanner.
