The Honeywell 3800i hand held industrial image
readers are the first industrial class readers to bring
you Honeywell's industry-leading image technology. This
technology allows you to read bar codes at ranges up
to 82 inches (208 cm). In real world applications, this
extended read range means less climbing and
reaching, and more operator productivity.
The Honeywell 3800i is designed for the most rugged industrial environments. Packaged with co-molded rubber polymers, the housing will absorb the shock from repeated drops and continue to outperform all bar code readers in
its class. The reader is designed to withstand fifty 6.5 feet (2 meter) drops to concrete. The housing also acts as a shield to seal the electronics and optics from environmental contaminants found in many industrial applications. The IP54 sealing specification ensures
windblown dust and water will not enter the housing and degrade the imager’s performance. Moreover, The 3800i will maintain its IP54 sealing and drop characteristics down to -22° F (- 30° C).
Durability is further enhanced by our core image-based technology. Unlike many other industrial bar code readers, the Honeywell 3800i has no moving parts. This solid-state design eliminates all moving image elements and potential
misalignments making this imager extremely reliable in tough industrial settings.
For reading in applications that exhibit high ambient
light, the Honeywell 3800i can be ordered with an aiming beam, which offers true point and shoot performance without
moving laser optics. This option allows the operator to
reliably find and scan the code.
